The Theory of Gaming STEAM Adventure Camp is located at a high school in Garner. The camp is created and run by a teacher with over 25 years of teaching experience and more than 10 years of camp experience. Our counselors and workers are college students and graduates of Garner High School who have exemplary records and love to learn, ensuring a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for all campers.

What should my child bring to camp?

This is a day camp.  We provide the materials for all labs and crafts and other activities.  Students should dress like they would dress for normal school activities.  Camp takes place mostly in a school classroom.  Our excursions might bring us outdoors so layered clothing might sometimes be appropriate.  Students have access to the restroom and water fountains as well as snacks from our snack shack.

What are the drop-off and pick-up times?

Drop-off is from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, and pick-up is from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Please ensure timely arrival and departure to help maintain our camp schedule.

What kind of lunch and snacks should my child bring?

This is a 9-5 day camp.  We provide breakfast and two snacks twice daily.  Students bring their own lunches and can purchase additional snacks and some lunch options are available for purchase.

What are the camper expectations?

We expect all campers to participate respectfully, engage positively with staff and peers, and follow all safety guidelines. Our focus is on creating an inclusive and fun learning environment for everyone.

How does the camp ensure safety and supervision?

The camp is run by an experienced teacher, and our counselors are exemplary college students and Garner High School graduates. We maintain appropriate staff-to-camper ratios and follow strict safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all.
